Where to get European fuel price data

Several European governments require fuel stations to report their prices and publish them as open data. If you need station-level prices, start with these official sources.

Official sources (station level)

Each source has its own format, field names, units and time zone conventions, and some (Italy) split stations and prices into separate files that must be joined.

Getting France, Spain and Italy in one format

The Official Fuel Prices API downloads the French, Spanish and Italian feeds (plus Western Australia’s FuelWatch), and returns one normalized row per station and fuel with coordinates, ISO timestamps, currency, unit, source and licence. You can filter by radius, postal code, city, brand and fuel type.

curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/sste~official-fuel-prices/run-sync-get-dataset-items" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"countries":["FR","ES","IT"],"fuelTypes":["diesel"],"maxResults":100}'
